Job Description

We are looking for a passionate Business Development Lead to spearhead our expansion in Seoul. This Business Development Lead position has the potential to grow into a Country Manager position. If you are looking to build a business from the ground up through hustling, selling to businesses, building a team and managing finances, you may be the person we are looking for.

You will be based in Seoul.

Responsibilities:
*Build the business from the ground up in Seoul with entrepreneurial spirit, while still having guidance from headquarters
*Explore the hidden gems of Seoul through interviewing and vetting new Locals
*Achieve sales revenue targets
*Generate new business opportunities – arrange and attend prospective client meetings and negotiate to win new business
*Maintain relationship with clients and train them on processes
*Overall accountability for monthly KPIs in sales, business engagement and general market traction
*Develop in-market growth with a database of vetted Locals
*Manage budget
*Hire a team to help with maintaining the balance of gaining new business, vetting new Locals, and day-to-day operations

Requirements:
*Full-time availability preferred (part-time can be discussed)
*Willingness to learn and openness to new ideas
*Passionate, hard-working, and excited to be a part of a fast-paced startup
*Ability to build and develop strong relationships with business contacts, partners, and local insiders
*Strong track record of new business sales and/or sales management role (hospitality and travel role will be viewed favorably)
*Sharp business acumen – can identify and analyze problems with creative solutions
*Think globally, act locally, and thrive in a multicultural, startup environment.
*Business proficiency in English and Korean with professional speaking and writing skills
*Have worked in South Korea extensively
*High integrity
*Immediate availability is preferred
